The book recounted an engaging story about the discovery of five yoga exercises taught to Kelder by a retired British army officer who had learned the exercises from some Tibetan lamas in a monastery in the Himalayas. Also, the arms should not bend; the movement is instead accomplished by pivoting at the shoulders. They were similar in appearance to yoga exercises with which I was already familiar, but they were also different enough that they in no way duplicated other practices in my daily routine.
Kilham has taught these exercises to thousands of people seeking a healthier lifestyle. The Five Tibetans take a minimum of daily time and effort but can dramatically increase physical strength and suppleness as well as mental acuity. If I had to choose a minute daily routine, this would not be a bad one, and might be better than other common vinyasana combinations like the sun salutation.

It keeps you from being ground down by circumstance. Are they dealing with chakras, or something else? I haven’t noticed any obvious results from doing them. Can be done in ten minutes. The information is very limited. But this is true of nearly any regular exercise.

The other claim is that you will feel better in general again with the vagueness. You tibdtans come into a position in which the trunk is parallel to the ground while the arms and legs are perpendicular. Not bad at all for a ten-minute daily practice. Lists with This Book.
